Yves Couvreur
With a long heritage in Rilly-la-Montagne, a pretty small village in the Montagne de Reims, the Couvreur family has passed along their exploitation from generation to generation. "The oldest trace of our family goes back to Pierre Couvreur, in 1644!" Since then, many winemakers from the Couvreur and Chauvet families have succeeded Pierre Couvreur. François and his son Yves have managed the domaine since 1984. Vineyard plantings have evolved to 6.7 hectares spread over 35 parcels and 3 Premier Cru villages (Rilly-la-Montagne 5.70 ha, Montbré 0.4 ha, and Taissy 0.6 ha). The estate has been certified HVE (High Value Environmental) since April 2014.
