Drappier
Founded in 1808, this family-run business is located in the commune of Urville, in the Aube region, with vaulted cellars dating back to the 12th century, the work of the Cistercian monks of Clairvaux Abbey. Here, the Drappiers make wine champagnes predominantly from Pinot Noir grapes, which account for 70% of the vineyard and trading area. The work in the vineyard is respectful of the soil (the estate has been certified organic since 2023), and vinification is low-intervention (minimal sulfur dosage during bottling). Michel Drappier, assisted by his children (Charline, Hugo and Antoine), is always eager to explain and promote the Champagne region as a whole. Constantly on the lookout, the domaine has launched a pure Fromenteau (pinot gris) champagne.
