Gault&Millau's review2026
This is a serious, well-established restaurant, where diners come for a well-crafted, generous and easy-to-understand cuisine, served in a comfortable, elegant setting. The bright, well-kept dining room creates an atmosphere conducive to a relaxed meal, with a real sense of continuity between the welcome, the service and the plate, based on classic dishes enriched by more daring combinations. The foie gras, presented like an opera, blends tarragon chantilly and Arabica sponge cake, making for an original and tasty starter; the bull filet, cooked at a low temperature, is gourmet and comforting, with tender, expressive meat. The mango dessert, with poached mango, cookie and verbena ice cream, provides a fresh, well-crafted finish, extended by mignardises of lemon and red fruit pastes served with coffee. The wine list is one of the restaurant's major assets. Extensive and well-structured, it covers the major French regions, with a marked presence of Loire, Burgundy, Rhône and South-Western vineyards, complemented by a few sunnier references. Service is fluid, attentive and attentive to guest comfort. The welcome is professional, the follow-up regular, and the whole testifies to a true sense of hospitality.
