Chef's Restaurant Here's a warm and friendly address in the south of Toulouse, on the slopes of Rangueil (a residential area), 10 minutes from the city center, close to the CHU (a popular lunch spot for doctors). This former farmhouse has been lovingly restored (terracotta floor tiles, pink bricks, beams, meticulous decor), with a garden terrace that's always full in fine weather, and a loyal clientele who come with their families on a fine evening. Valérie Joffre, the chef's wife, is an adorable hostess, and it's she who best manages a small team that isn't always ultra-professional, but makes up for it with kindness and diligence. Fabrice's cuisine is well prepared, with a limited choice in the €35 "petit plaisir" menu, or in surprise formulas of 3 to 5 courses. The wine list is superb, with over 250 references from all over France and at all prices, but there is no selection by the glass.
