On the main square, this traditional brasserie is a sure bet, a warm and lively place, where chef Ludovic Alran offers masterful regional cuisine. Formerly second-in-command to Jean-Paul Jeunet and then Steven Naessens, the chef's experience and taste for fine produce are reflected in his convincing seasonal dishes. These include a starter of asparagus, avocado and lemon, with fine slices of salmon in gravelax, a memorable supreme of poultry and morel butter, with an elegant pressed potato with morel mushrooms and yellow wine sauce, and an all-chocolate dessert. The wine cellar follows suit, with a fine presentation of Jura vineyards and clever ideas about the rest of the country (Fabien Jouves, Achillée, domaine des Huards, Matthieu Barret, domaine Ampelous...). Reservations recommended.
