Gourmet Restaurant On the other side of the Ville-Close, with an unobstructed view of the town and close to the ship-repair activities, this establishment run by the Sicallac couple has earned itself a flattering reputation over the years. And rightly so. The cuisine of the highly experienced Jean-François is not based on showmanship or fashion. On the contrary, it's a classic expression that sometimes borders on a certain simplicity that's a little too strict. And yet, the products are perfectly sourced and impeccably fresh. Let's treat ourselves to "in season" white asparagus, mimosa-style, enlivened by a little crab meat, which we'd like to see more of. The tasty lobster sauce, a model of conciseness, underscores the beautiful, crisp-skinned saint-pierre, which is accompanied quite simply - too simply? - a delicate celery mousseline. For dessert, there are no adventurous proposals, so we let ourselves be tempted by strawberries nicely declined in pavlova and ice cream. Service is well paced by a smiling, attentive team. The wine list goes straight to the point, with a certain happiness: menetou-salon from Clos des Treilles, santenay from Domaine Regnard, châteauneuf-du-pape from Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes, jurançon from Charles Hours..
