Chef's Restaurant Away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the historic center, the Hôtel de la Brèche is undoubtedly a classic of Ambacan life. It's also, and above all, a family affair, the Berthelots, also the name of the restaurant; Isabelle is the hostess, and Jérôme and his daughter Justine are in charge of the kitchen. Each one masters his or her part, in a modern, natural atmosphere, both in the dining room and on the plate. Enjoy the rosy veal fillet, butternut with vadouvan, crispy agria and fresh dhal. For dessert, Justine's speciality, a delicious variation on the peanut: ice cream, cookie, cream, chocolate decoration... it's all there, not forgetting the caramelized peanut that reminds us of fairground scrunchies. And let's not forget the well-stocked, seriously run cellar, with its emphasis on regional stars.
