Housed in a beautiful timber-framed building, the second table at Les Sources de Cheverny offers brasserie-style cuisine at reasonable prices, in a relaxed and sometimes effervescent atmosphere. Starters on the €45 menu include tuna loin marinated in olive oil and served with authentic vegetables, highlighted by a lime-glazed broth; or a foie gras terrine with candied cherries and winegrower's pepper. For the main course: cod cooked with precision, accompanied by curry-roasted zucchini and a subtle Madras sauce with coconut milk; or wood-roasted poultry, coffee-infused carrots and orange juices. Desserts served in bowls include Sologne red fruit melba, Madagascar vanilla ice cream or dark chocolate mousse with salted butter caramel.
