Gault&Millau's review

Exceptional Hotel Gourmets swear by Christophe Hay's cuisine, and many regretted not being able to continue their discovery over a weekend. Their wish has now been granted, as the talented chef has opened a hotel in Blois, on the banks of the Loire, which has rapidly become one of the region's HQs. Built in the 17th century under the aegis of Gaston d'Orléans, brother of King Louis XIII, this immense building has been reinvented by interior architect Caroline Tissier, who has created a master stroke: a bar organized around sumptuous period pillars and two dining rooms decorated in a way inspired by the changing colors of the river... The 44 guest rooms (including 12 suites) offer the same unostentatious luxury, with spacious rooms opening onto the river, adorned in shades of ochre and beige and furnished in pure lines. Inaugurated in 2022, the hotel is now a Relais & Châteaux member.
