Gault&Millau's review 2026

Let's set the scene right from the start, and let's not lie when we say that this is one of the best value-for-money restaurants in Paris. The clientele who descend to the basement of the Drugstore Publicis come first and foremost to indulge in a piece of the Robuchon myth, the famous purée of course (impossible, and so much the better, to cut into) but also all the "signature" dishes of the man we voted Chef of the Century: langoustine en papillote, caramelized quail with foie gras, crème caramel, which coexist with a few dishes from the culinary grande bourgeoise, sole "Belle Meunière", tournedos with Malabar pepper or roasted veal chop and macaroni with green asparagus and morels. It's not very modern, it's not very cheap (but the tourists who crowd around the counter and the local business clientele don't really care), it's probably not really essential, but, let's face it, some of these dishes are part of a heritage that we wouldn't want to see disappear for anything in the world.
