Just a stone’s throw from the Arc de Triomphe, nestled within the elegant Norman Hotel, Thiou offers a distinctly Parisian urban setting with a touch of rustic charm in the heart of the 8th arrondissement. The menu features Thai cuisine faithful to the chef’s classics: “Crying Tiger,” pad Thai, lemongrass shrimp dumplings, and crispy soft-shell crab. While the overall experience is pleasant and efficient, the cuisine remains somewhat conservative, and we’d prefer to return for lunch to enjoy a more affordable set menu. The wine list is extensive but classic, with a good selection of cocktails and other beverages, all complemented by professional, friendly, and well-paced service.
