Near the La Muette metro station, on the ground floor, is a dimly lit, wood-paneled dining room featuring Chef Shota’s counter. He offers several lunch set menus, including sushi, sashimi, chirashi, and the extensive Kura menu for €48, as well as a dinner menu for €65. At lunch, after the amuse-bouche—chicken meatballs and a perfectly poached egg—followed by sashimi, then the fish or meat of the day (a decent ribeye tataki the other day), before the Camembert and blood orange cheesecake as the dessert of the day. To accompany your meal, there’s an excellent selection of cold and hot sakes, served from a traditional cellar. There’s a small terrace out front for sunny days, and the service is attentive but unenthusiastic.
