Sponsored Catherine Gouon, head chef, and Éric Le Delliou, pastry chef, met in a restaurant in La Turballe 16 years ago: "I ran two pastry shops, then this restaurant with Catherine. We wanted to take on a new challenge together," says Éric. In Pornichet, the Grain de Folie, an establishment with a sea view, caught their attention. Since March 2023, they have been co-managers of this renowned restaurant. "I create a cuisine that suits me, gourmet and evolving with the seasons. Homemade food is omnipresent," explains Catherine, who changes her menu every two months. On the menu: fresh fish from several auctions, French meats, Asian specialties (such as the famous Japanese-style beef tataki), vegetarian dishes, revisited classics like filet de boeuf Rossini with truffle purée. "The cuisine is meticulously prepared and reasonably priced," enthuse the restaurateurs. A little bonus: a cart of mature cheeses is presented and cut according to the customer's taste. A fine selection of French wines and a friendly, family atmosphere. The establishment will be open from December 26 to 31, then closed from January 1 to early February 2024.
