Gault&Millau's review 2025

Nestled in a shady park a stone's throw from the Atlantic, this Belle Époque villa was purchased in 1927 by the owner of the town's casino, who named it after his wife and carried out a number of refurbishments. Taken over by the Barrière group and member of Relais & Châteaux, the property was once again redesigned, this time by Jacques Garcia. The 31 rooms and suites took on a British look, with blond wood furniture, floral chintz and an ultra-cosy atmosphere. La Table du Castel, under the leadership of chef Jérémy Coirier, boasts a certain elegance (with tables set up in the park in fine weather). Or perhaps you'd prefer to head for Le Ponton, with its terrace on the sand to savor the infinity of the ocean.
