Gault&Millau's review 2026

What would a stroll through Paris be without stopping by its oldest house at least once! Located in the former home of the famous alchemist, built in 1407, the restaurant boasts a unique historic setting—which it showcases beautifully—along with refined French cuisine and décor that highlights the building’s architecture. At the helm of the kitchen, Alan Geaam has appointed Marco Sergiampietri, who for the past year and a half has been bringing a lovely seasonal menu to life. Treat yourself to smoked mackerel with roasted buckwheat, coffee; a cucumber, green apple, and fresh herb bar; roast suckling pig with white peach and verbena; or a dessert featuring melon, yogurt, and basil. Excellent service.
