Chef's Restaurant La Tour is a family affair, opened in 1979 by the parents and run since 2006 by the son, Baptiste Fournier. Ideally located on the main square in the village of Sancerre, the restaurant offers a warm setting that tastefully blends old and new. The cuisine is full of freshness, like the starter with carrots, peas and apricots, or the sea bream with fennel, pâtisson and buckwheat juice. A special mention goes to the dessert, prepared with seasonal strawberries and peaches, and topped with an indulgent vanilla ganache and a refreshing basil sorbet. A fine wine list, with fine references from the region... and elsewhere; a limited but quality selection by the glass.
