Gault&Millau's review 2025

For many, this refuge is the soul of Courchevel. Imagined in the 60s by Ardéchois Michel Rochedy, it quickly became the resort's institution, ideally located on the Chenus slope and decorated in the spirit of an authentic family home in the heart of the mountains. Taken over in 2018 by the Lavorel Hôtels group and restored under the guidance of interior designer Emilie Rollet, the venue comprises two large, pristine white chalets, decorated with understated luxury - stained wood panelling on the walls and ecru fabrics for the armchairs facing the large fireplace in the lounge. The 41 rooms and suites, as well as the penthouse, share the same sobriety, with beautiful tartan headboards, raw linen fabrics and large bathrooms where the warmth of wood warms the marble. Guests come here to enjoy chef Stéphane Buron's remarkable cuisine in the gourmet restaurant, as well as at La Sidonie and Ferme Saint-Amour. The latest nugget? The spa - one of the largest in Courchevel at 1,000 m² - featuring saunas, hammams, salt caves and Shiseido massage cabins. One of the finest addresses in the resort, which has no shortage of them.
