Chef's Restaurant As the years go by, Philippe Redon remains the leader in Limoges gastronomy. Without making a fuss, he runs his business like a true professional, making informed choices from a comfortable, pleasant dining room on a central, semi-pedestrian street. The menu-card is always well-proportioned in terms of offerings and technical mastery, with clever ideas such as the club sandwich of pig's trotter with foie gras and whelk tartar, veal cordon bleu with truffle, endives with Iberian ham and grilled octopus, and the crispy tart with praline and passion fruit. Frankly, at €58 for the complete sequence and with this level of professionalism, there's clearly nothing to complain about. Lunch menu at €28, solid cellar, accomplished service.
