Gourmet Restaurant The long room, well kept behind the heavy entrance curtain, seems a little stuck on this end of the boulevard, above the halles. You reach it by passing in front of the slim, slow-moving kitchen of Jérémy, a diligent young chef who offers contemporary bourgeois cuisine, while his partner in the kitchen, François, puts his heart and energy into making sure everything runs smoothly. The semi-cooked foie gras, from the Beauregard farm, is well prepared, accompanied by a pear chutney, and the rabbit civet, well cared for, with a reduced, powerful red wine sauce (we could do without the smoky, cloche effect), before a more common lemon dessert for a formula that's still quite expensive at €59. The cellar is quite modest, not a priority for the house, allowing you to try, as an alternative, the good beer produced near Confolens.
