Chef's Restaurant On the road to the eastern plain, giant 4X3 posters put you on the right track: "Finestra" is the gourmet address not to be missed in Bonifacio! And it's true that the restaurant's location is one of its greatest assets. Overlooking the port, and close to Da Passano, the Zani group's other address, Finestra is as touristy in its approach as it is hushed and intimate in its ambience. In an inverted hull room, you'll dine under two enormous gilded metal boat propellers, pampered by top-notch service that matches the fare. The menus are set at €145 and €185, created by chef Italo Bassi (who we've already spotted across the street in Porto Cervo), who has sent an executive chef to the cliff town. The cuisine mixes pretty Italian dishes, an ingenious double ravioli with two fillings, a pretty risotto like a rock soup, or an apple gnocchi with lobster cream. Winks at Corsican cuisine are also part of the menu, as in this lovely stroll around Monte Cinto, with brocciu and maquis flowers. The wine list features some fine local wines, priced at around €45.
