Stella d'Oro is the place to go for memorable, authentic Corsican meals for the more affluent tourist. The old-fashioned setting and prices suggest a high level of expertise: eggplants à la bonifacienne, stuffed mussels, brocciu ravioli and spaghetti with lobster are just some of the specialties, while the menu offers a wide selection of regional dishes: carpaccio de veau tigré Abbatucci, fish soup, locally caught tuna, rack of lamb in a crust of maquis herbs... Classic desserts (tatin, fraisier, moelleux chocolat, etc.) are also on the menu. Expect to pay around €100, with an introductory menu at €39.50.
