This 100% pinot meunier, based on the 2017 and 2018 harvests, benefits from being decanted. The complex, fruity and vinous nose evokes butter, puff pastry, green hazelnuts and black cherry. The palate is taut and straightforward. The subtle bubbles carry tangy notes complemented by a lovely chewiness. Enjoy with Pecorino cheese with black pepper.

This family-run domaine in Baroville, in the Aube region, offers a complete, homogeneous range of champagnes. On the Côte des Bar, nearly 25 hectares are planted mainly with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Julien Fourrier produces cuvées balanced between freshness and finesse, with a delicate effervescence, offering - not least of all - excellent value for money.
