This 73rd vintage of the house is carried by a majority of pinot noir. The color is sparkling, with bubbles teeming in abundance. The complex nose exalts gourmet, toasty aromas. On the palate, we find racy fruitiness around notes of yellow peach, apricot and golden magnifying almond and roasted sesame. The attack is delicate and silky. The olfactory palette gives way to a slightly pomade-like chewiness on pomelos and green almond, heralding a honeyed undertone. The finish is somewhat restrictive. Ideal as an aperitif with a festive meal or Asian cuisine.
