The 2013 is Moët & Chandon's 75th vintage. 7 years of ageing in the cellar, a limited dosage and a few months of patience later for this champagne with its luminous gold color, very fine bubbles and crystalline, silvery reflections. The nose is fine, with late-season aromas of mushroom, chestnut, dried flowers, caramel, dried apricot, stewed white fruit, fresh bread and a hint of citrus for freshness. The palate is voluptuous and suave, slightly honeyed, lively and thirst-quenching. The flavors are the same as on the nose, with an appetizing note of pomelo zest on the finish. Viney and delicate! A perfect match with poached poularde in truffle broth.
