Smooth and round on the nose. Sweet red berries add their deliciousness, enhanced by a pinch of white pepper and mild spices (turmeric, coriander). Although the bubbles show their muscles on the attack, they know how to make themselves forgotten and accompany a fleshy body, with notes of cherry and raspberry. The fresh frame accompanies a controlled dosage and extends to a finish that awakens the taste buds. The only thing missing is a red fruit tart to accompany it.

Benoît Gouez, cellar master since 2005, has made undeniable progress in terms of quality, particularly for the brut "Moët Impérial". To achieve such quality from such a large quantity is a feat to be applauded in a world that often thinks "small is beautiful". A new hypermodern winery with the HVE (high environmental quality) label, named Montaigu in reference to the hillside directly opposite, was inaugurated in Oiry in 2014. To celebrate its 280th anniversary, the company is launching a new collection called "Collection Impériale".
