We love Mailly and its generosity, its structure, its noble, racy terroir. It's all there: old rose, delicately acidic red fruit, diabolical, never-ending saltiness... And what a mouthful! Dense and inviting, it stretches out on the invigorating acidity. A great, great bottle for great shellfish or a fine turkey in winter.

Mailly Grand Cru
This cooperative, founded in 1929, is unique in that it only accepts grapes from the Mailly grand cru (where the chardonnays pinot and the pinots chardonnent), in the heart of the Reims mountains, from some 70 ha. All cuvées are grand cru. The champagnes are generally full-bodied and dense, with excellent definition of fruit. Undoubtedly the best cooperative winery in the region, this house is committed to an interesting parcel-based approach, with some 35 lieux-dits. On-site tastings are available.
