Gault&Millau's review 2026

For decades, this Relais & Châteaux has been one of Brittany's most luxurious stops. Facing the sea on the magnificent Pink Granite Coast, this manor house designed by painter Pierre Gervais celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025 under the aegis of the Daubé family. This absolutely magical setting not only boasts a panoramic view of the islands, but also the unique architecture of the restaurant, in the shape of an upside-down ship's hull, where chef Anthony Avoine serves up an obviously seafaring cuisine: plouguerneau abalone seared over an open flame, pollack simmered with shellfish and mushrooms in a red wine matelote sauce, vegetable-coated st. Pierre with beet textures and herbaceous sorrel jus, not forgetting the house specialty, lobster, perfectly executed here with its monochrome carrot and ginger-infused jus. A very affordable lunch menu to enjoy the charm of this well-constructed cellar.
