Sponsored This Logis de France-labeled hotel with 16 comfortable rooms, built long ago in an old barn, has a quiet, bucolic setting just 15 minutes from Chablis. Recently taken over and renovated by Laura and Matthias, the head chef, the establishment houses a bistronomic-style restaurant of the same name, where everything is homemade, even the ice creams. Between local dishes and must-try specialties such as oeufs meurette, poultry supreme and its seasonal accompaniment, vanilla-tonka bean crème brûlée, the choice is deliciously complicated, especially as the menu changes every six weeks. As a result, guests - whether staying at the hotel or not - return whenever they can, attracted by the quality of the cuisine, described by regulars as "tasty, generous and hearty", the freshness of the produce, the food and wine pairings (from the region and beyond), and the warm welcome from the Soleil d'Or team.
