Sponsored "Lovers of Creole cuisine and rum, Stefan, Cyrille and Amadou have opened an island restaurant (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Tahiti) in the Butte-aux-Cailles district in September 2023. "Farmhouse rums, that's the real thing!" smile the three buddies, long-time partners. "We've been working in the neighborhood for 25 years! Kanasuk is our way of sharing our taste for Creole culture, its delicacy and its generosity. In the kitchen, Chef Fabrice handles the spices and shares his family recipes: rougail saucisse, chicken or goat colombo, Jamaican pig, cod acras or ceviche. Desserts include banana flambé, coconut flan, sweet potato cake and coconut sorbet... Weekday specials cost €14.50. For wine, the house offers some twenty references. Fancy a glass of rum? Let Gabi, the passionate manager, guide you through the 80 references. Between concerts and domino games, the atmosphere is very convivial. Excellent welcome. Open Monday to Saturday, 12 noon to midnight, Sunday 12 noon to 8 p.m."
