Gault&Millau's review 2026

To understand what's going on here, you have to push open an unobtrusive glass door and lock it. Once inside, the world stays outside. The room is small, deliberately restrained, almost confidential. A few tables, wood and warm lighting. The length of the kitchen is uncluttered: two cooks at work, visible, concentrated, precise. The tone is set. The cuisine speaks Italian, and a little French too, but without folklore or nostalgia. It prefers precision to flashiness, texture to effect. The pumpkin opens the ball with delicacy: finely worked, supported by a candied egg yolk and herbaceous ricotta, it establishes a controlled sweetness. Then comes the pasta, eagerly awaited. Homemade cappelletti, the right dough, easy-to-understand stuffing, deep but steady sauces, fat tamed by vegetables. Generous, but always elegant. The dessert continues this clear line: poached pear, finely carved, not very sweet, buckwheat granola for relief, airy mascarpone, subtle bitterness. An intelligent end to the meal, without being too easy. The wine list is an apt accompaniment to this contemporary cuisine: Italy as a common thread, France as a counterpoint, prices contained, choices coherent. Service, provided by a single person, is sincere, warm, sometimes tense, but never indifferent. You get the feeling of a hand-held, fragile but lively business.
