For those who like to choose what they’re going to eat and pay for, Jean Sulpice has the solution: forget fine dining—there’s the 1903, with a real menu that’s a treat, where you can let your mouth water a little while waiting for the crayfish gratin, braised féra with fennel and savory broth, mallard duck with einkorn risotto and cider jus, and finish with a chocolate-blackcurrant mille-feuille with parsley sorbet. And you’re right by the lake, too, in this wonderful Bise de Talloires restaurant. With very professional service and a three-course set menu for €85.
