Gault&Millau's review 2025

On the peaceful shores of Lake Annecy, this historic inn has welcomed Winston Churchill, Elizabeth II and Jean-Paul Sartre. Now owned by Magali and Jean Sulpice and a Relais & Châteaux member, it revisits the art of French living with a contemporary refinement that blends luxury, authenticity and immersive immersion in unspoilt nature. Completely refurbished, the 22 rooms and suites combine pure lines and luminous greys, with a special mention for suite n°18, which combines a modern four-poster bed, abstract paintings, a large terrace and a private Jacuzzi opening onto the lake. Designed by Xavier Salerio, a contemporary farmhouse houses the chic spa with swimming pool and 4 treatment cabins, sauna, hammam, sensory showers and cold bath. The perfect place to wait for the ultimate pleasure of tasting Jean Sulpice's legendary cuisine.
