10 Parisian late-night addresses

10 Parisian late-night addresses

A late-night craving in Paris? Discover ten restaurants open after 10 p.m. where you can enjoy generous cuisine in a warm atmosphere, long after the traditional last service.

Mathilde Bourge

dining late in Paris can be a challenge. After 10 p.m., most kitchens close their doors, leaving night owls, late-night moviegoers and shift workers looking for a table that's still alive. Yet the capital is full of places that refuse to go to sleep early. Historic brasseries, modern bistros or trendy spots: some restaurants extend the pleasure well beyond dinnertime, sometimes well into the night. Gault&Millau takes you on a tour of some of these places where you can still eat well after 10pm, without compromising on quality or atmosphere.

La Coupole

An institution on Boulevard du Montparnasse, La Coupole (2 toques) epitomizes the spirit of the great Parisian brasseries. Opened in 1927, this Art Deco address has welcomed artists, writers and emblematic figures of the capital, from Pablo Picasso to Simone de Beauvoir. Even today, people come here as much for the spectacular decor as for its traditional cuisine, with large seafood platters and great French classics. Good news for night owls: the brasserie is open every day until 11 p.m., and even extends service until midnight from Wednesday to Saturday.
