The delicacy of the color is no match for the intensity of the fresh fruit (summer pear, white peach) that emerges from the first aromas, followed by notes of chalk and gunflint softened by a spoonful of acacia honey. Beneath the fine bubbles, the wine is delicate and lacy, carried by an armful of white flowers and peppery roses, while an acidic framework structures the whole and gives it tension. The finish recalls the chalky feel of the bouquet. A lovely wine to serve with fresh fruit desserts.
