Created in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët, Perrier-Jouët was born of their desire to create a champagne with a difference. Botanist like his father, their son Charles Perrier took over the management in 1848. Creativity and unconventional observation of nature remain values that shape Perrier-Jouët, as do bold choices, starting with the decision to make Chardonnay their signature grape variety, giving birth to the delicate, floral style for which this champagne is world-renowned.
