A parcel of old pinot noir vines planted in Verzenay for this cuvée, which is made without malolactic fermentation. The nose is fresh, balancing notes of ageing and ripeness. The palate, sapid and saline, reveals itself to be very delicate, with yellow fruit flavors adding gourmandise. The chalky, mouth-filling finish calls for another glass. A gastronomic champagne, to be served with sole meunière, lemon butter, quite simply.
