Louis Brochet
It's in Écueil, as well as on neighboring terroirs classified as Premier Cru on the Montagne de Reims, that these harvesters-manipulants, then oenologists from father to son, have settled. Since 2013, the estate has been taken over by brother and sister Louis and Hélène Brochet. On the estate's 13 ha, they use natural organic fertilizers and no chemical insecticides on the 50 plots of this HVE (high environmental value) certified estate. Three quarters of the production comes from Écueil Pinot Noirs, aged in vats or in oak barrels from the village forest. Champagnes are grouped into three ranges ("Héritage", "Signature", "Éphémère"). The estate welcomes visitors for tastings, and even offers a "yoga-champagne" package.
