Winery presentation by Gault&Millau

The Lacroix-Triaulaire family, which has called Merrey-sur-Arce—in the heart of the Côte des Bar—home for several generations, cultivates winemaking expertise that combines tradition, technical precision, and respect for the terroir. Carrying on the legacy of their father François, Théodore and Marie-Claire are guided by simple principles: “no set formula, no certainties—only experimentation, hard work, and constant self-reflection.” The vineyard, situated on clay-limestone marl soils, is primarily planted with Pinot Noir, complemented by Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc. It has been certified organic since 2025.

Wine Estate : Lacroix-Triaulaire

At the heart of the winery

This 8.5-hectare estate was founded in 1962, when the grandparents of the current winemakers took over a farm in Merrey-sur-Arce in the Côte des Bar region. At that time, the estate consisted of a farmhouse, farmland, and sheep. The first Pinot Noir vineyards were planted in 1972 by the second generation, François, and winemaking began in 1983. The first bottles were sold four years later. Théodore, his son, joined him in 2007, followed by his daughter, Marie-Claire, in 2012. Together, they are now carrying on the legacy of the family estate.
