This sweet liqueur wine is made from red Champagne grapes, mutated with Marc de Champagne brandy. The wine has a luminous mahogany color with orange highlights. The nose is powerful, with aromas of old boy jam and cherry brandy. On the palate, the sweetness is evident from the outset, with notes of red fruit and jammy stone fruit. A hint of maple syrup may also appeal. This ratafia offers a power and generosity that would pair perfectly with chocolate-red fruit desserts, and why not with pan-fried foie gras?
