Tasted in magnum, this cuvée is simply magnificent. The nose opens with roasted hazelnuts, fresh cloves and rum baba, evolving subtly towards meringue and candied citrus. Mild spice notes follow. On the palate, the wine prolongs the initial impression: the roundness is padded, polished, swirled and complex, then the wine lengthens, carried by a surprisingly sustained freshness. The magic of ageing. Open on its own or with sea bass in saffron sauce.
