A Cuvée Hommage made from two parcels of Pinot Noir on the unique terroir of Aÿ, the commune where William Deutz settled in 1838. On the nose, the wine opens with notes of ripe yellow fruit (apricot, mirabelle plum) and dried fruit. With aeration, notes of pastry and fine honey follow. On the palate, yellow fruit dominates, with a perfectly balanced harmony and a tension rare in pure Pinots. This cuvée is more elegant than powerful, right through to the chalky finish. A new cuvée, a new major success!
