Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
In 1921, several winegrowers decided to join forces, and Champagne Collet became the first house of independent winegrowers. It owes its name to Raoul Collet, who served as its director for nearly thirty years. Located in the heart of the village of Aÿ—a Grand Cru village and the birthplace of Champagne—it cultivates approximately 150 hectares. Respect for the terroir and the winemaker’s craft is paramount, and each cru is vinified separately to preserve its unique character. Drawing on the diversity of its terroirs—with grapes sourced primarily from Premier Crus and Grands Crus—Collet and its cellar master, Sébastien Walasiak, offer a rich and varied selection.
