With a nose of powdery chalk and pure white fruit, the wine is round on the palate and sufficiently mature to be enjoyed without bubbles. It's like the still wines of Champagne: "It's always from the ripest parcel on the estate and the one with the lowest pH," says the winemaker, but there's no acidic sensation to disturb the freshness of the fine chalk on the finish. A great Coteaux.
