This cuvée is made from vines planted between 1969 and 1975 on a special, very chalky terroir located on either side of the ridge that caps the hillside. The splendidly complex nose reveals aromas of preserved lemon, almond paste, cooked quince and pastry notes. This is followed by a palate to match, with the tension and finesse of great champagnes. "It's fine, it's long and, in a word, it's superb!
