André Dormay

André Dormay

From the first vines acquired in 1962, exclusively in the Hermonville area, the family now cultivates some 15 hectares, including plots on the beautiful soils of the Saint-Thierry massif, as far as Sacy. This diversity of terroirs makes it possible to cultivate the three great Champagne grape varieties, and also to obtain a wide range of aromas for making their cuvées. Annie Dormay, a harvester and handler, took over the estate in 1992 on the death of her husband, André - whose name will remain on some of the labels. Their three children, Nadège, Stéphane and Sylvain, are now also part of the adventure.

The 5-hectare estate, located on the slopes of the Ource valley, was established in 1973. In the 1920s, it was home to Aube's leading wine merchant. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soil, a guarantee of finesse and freshness for the wines. In 2021, the estate won the gold medal at the world rosé competition. It produces single-cell Chardonnay cuvées, a perpetual reserve of Pinot Noir initiated in 2013, and a 100% Pinot Blanc cuvée. Independent, the house vinifies only its own grapes. Production is unfortunately limited, but the value for money is very attractive, and the estate is happy to welcome you by appointment.

André Goutorbe & Fils

Located in Damery, on the right bank of the Marne valley, this family-run estate has been harvesting and handling grapes for six generations. Managed today by David and Laure Goutorbe and their children Valentine and Victor, André Goutorbe & Fils works exclusively on its own production and therefore controls the entire process, from vineyard work to wine marketing. HVE and VDC certified for the past ten years, the company's identity is based on blending rather than parcels. Three grape varieties are used, with Pinot Meunier dominating (50%), followed by Chardonnay (35%) and Pinot Noir. The 12 ha of vines are spread over six villages in the Marne valley, in the Vitryat and Sézannais regions.

André Jacquart

The estate is located in Vertus, south of the prestigious Côte des Blancs. Marie and Benoît Doyard, grandchildren of André Jacquart, run the estate and perpetuate the brand. Chardonnay is the dominant grape here, and the cuvées made from it come notably from Mesnil-sur-Oger, classified as a Grand Cru. Barrel vinification, absence of malolactic fermentation, prolonged ageing and low dosage levels characterize the house and the style of the wines produced, to the tune of 100,000 bottles a year.

André Robert

It was at Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, in the 1930s, that Hubert Robert created the first group of winegrowers to press and vinify the fruit of their harvest together. In 1960, André Robert, Hubert's grandson, bought the present house, with its 19th-century chalk cellars, and marketed its first bottles in 1962. André's son Bertrand and his wife Colette then ran the estate for almost forty years. Today, Claire Robert, the fifth generation, and her husband Jean-Baptiste manage the 14 ha of vines. They focus their champagne production on the great white crus of the Mesnil-sur-Oger commune. The wines are aged in barrels on lees, with bâtonnage and late bottling. A collection of old vintages is available.

André Roger

The Roger family has been established on the terroir of Aÿ for five generations. On a bit more that 5 hectares, it has developed a narrow strip of vines classified grand cru which enhances the Pinot Noir. The house's motto is patience, discretion and understanding of the wines: the vinification in large barrels or the malolactic fermentation are carried out according to the harvest and the blends.

The vineyard which covers around 5 ha spread over 26 plots is located in Chigny-les-Roses, a village nestled on the hillside, on the Montagne de Reims. The grapes of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are coming from Chigny-les-Roses, Rilly-la-Montagne and Ludes (Premier Cru). Patrice Tixier is in favour of ageing his vintage cuvées six years in the cellar, and 3 years for the rest of production. The estate is certified HVE and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne.

Angellis

Angellis champagnes are produced by Fleury-Gille. In Jean-François Fleury's family, there are several generations of winegrowers, starting with his ancestor Pierre-Louis Fleury, a winegrower in Trélou-sur-Marne in 1842, which explains why he is proud today to work with his children Christine and Bertrand on their 8-hectare vineyard. Very good value for money for the wines of this brand, as for those of the estate, which makes a point of welcoming its visitors on site.

Today, Anthony and Émilie cultivate 7 ha of vines comprising the three main grape varieties used in Champagne wines (chardonnay, pinot noir, meunier), enabling them to offer a wide and varied range. Their specifications are strict: organic certification since 2023, minimum ageing of five years on lees for vintage champagnes, manual riddling...

This small 5-hectare family estate was created in the 1970s by Antoine Bouvet, who took over the family business from his grandfather. All the vines are located in the three premier crus of Bisseuil, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Avenay-Val-d'or, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne. Half the vineyard is cultivated using biodynamic methods (tillage with grassing and ploughing, no chemical weedkillers), and the wines are aged in barrels.
