Gault&Millau's review 2026

Close to Grenoble, Corinne and Gérald Carbone attract a regular clientele, from business lunchtime to festive dinner parties. In the industrial building, the first room is particularly suited to group meals, while the second is more traditional. The name "apron bariolé" is an invitation to color, as the chef likes to use it in his dishes. He relies on regional products such as the Sassenage blue cheese that accompanies the snail gratinée, but also moves away from them to offer noble products such as lobster from Brittany served in a crust with a Newburg sauce. The food is generous in terms of quantity and quality, although scallops and sweetbreads could do with a little more finesse, perhaps by limiting the number of dishes on the à la carte menu. Excellent welcome from Corinne, who knows how to create the right atmosphere, a cellar to be developed.
