Gault&Millau's review 2026

As the sea ebbs and flows - albeit at a less regular pace - so do the chefs. Philippe Brun having cast off, it's now Julien Maltrait at the helm. A return, in fact, since he was formerly second in command. The room on the second floor, which offered a truly panoramic view, has been abandoned in favor of the first floor, where you can still admire the dune, the rocks and, in some cases, the sea... Not forgetting the black sheep of Ushant who liven up the landscape. The large, uncluttered and comfortable glassed-in dining room features well-spaced tables. The sea and plants provide ample inspiration for the chef. While the beet appetizer - a mise-en-bouche in fact - didn't stir much emotion, the Grenoble-style curly skate, wrapped in a creamy sabayon, was a great success. As for the Plouider poultry, it proved pleasant, flanked by celeriac "à la boulangère" and highlighted by a melilot jus. As in the past, salsify is used for dessert. It's daring, but it works well! It is combined with coffee, vanilla and a gourmet farmhouse cream. The wine list, which is not exhaustive, is based on reputable estates: Anjou "Bonnes Blanches" by Domaine Ogereau, Muscadet "Terre de Pierre" by Luneau-Papin, Corsica by Yves Leccia, Côtes de Provence Château Grand Boisé", Alsace by Domaine Bott Geyl, Jura by Domaine des Ronces... Friendly service.
