No competition in sight! In terms of greenery, this address, nestled in a slightly off-center part of town, stands out as a bubble of tranquility sheltered by its high walls and shaded by large trees. There's no comparable restaurant in the vicinity. The vast dining room - in shades of grey and red - opens its large bay windows onto the park. Philippe Le Bigot offers a serious cuisine with a short menu. By now, he seems to have opted for a cruising speed that distances him from all risk-taking. Hence the impression of restraint in the renewal, combinations and execution of dishes. However, the pleasure remains with, for example, the perfectly cooked langoustines, caressed by a delicate asparagus-coconut cream that's nevertheless a little evanescent. The beautiful springtime fillet of brill is accompanied by fennel, fried fennel, peas, Breton white asparagus and a few toasted almonds. On the other hand, the crustacean cromesquis with cuttlefish ink is of only relative gustatory interest. Dessert, meanwhile, takes a very classic but pleasing form, combining Plougastel strawberries, rhubarb and ginger ice cream. In dark pants and brightly-colored shirts, the waiters provide attentive, friendly service. The opulent cellar book favors "serious", well-known labels. The wine list offers something for every taste and budget: Côtes-de-Provence from Domaine Grand Boisé, St-Aubin from Domaine Roux, Meursault from Domaine Michelot, Rasteau from Château de la Gardine, Corsican from Domaine de Granajolo...
