Gault&Millau's review 2026

7 days a week! Midday and evening! We salute this exceptional amplitude without sacrificing quality. The port of Aber Wrac'h is absolutely charming. Slightly set back, the Vioben - named after an old family fishing boat - certainly doesn't exude the same aesthetic emotion, outwardly speaking. But that's no problem! The interior is warm and comfortable. You'll feel right at home! And all in a friendly, well-appointed atmosphere. Yvon Morvan and Violaine Le Goff are at the helm of this institution where, naturally, seafood products are as fresh as they are at home. But there's more to the menu than seafood platters. Experienced chef Yvon Morvan has the technique and the flair for pairing. He proves it with this delicate starter combining foie gras, scallops and star anise butter. As for the impeccable monkfish medallions, winter suits them so well when they're paired with pumpkin served roasted in wedges and in creamy form, the whole enhanced by a chestnut emulsion. Then it's time to indulge in a regressive and terribly gourmet sequence: a poached pear "Belle-Hélène style"! Service is friendly and invigorating. The wine list, very well presented, is qualitative in a "classic" spirit: bourgueil Audebert, chinon from Béatrice and Pascal Lambert, châteauneuf du pape from Alain Jaume, savenières from Clos des Perrières, santenay from domaine Muzard Lucien et fils...
