Remarkable Restaurant Today, he is the undisputed boss of Manosque gastronomy, just as Dominique Bucaille was in his day. Pierre Grein has earned his three toques, as much by will as by talent, by blazing his own trail. It's not all plain sailing, though, in this small, unassuming shopping area on the outskirts of town. But once in the dining room, comfort and good manners take precedence, and the finest products are on display, right down to the signature desserts "by Pierre Grein", including on the high-performance lunch menu, with scallops and cauliflower and breast of free-range poularde au sautoir polenta and chanterelles jus corsé. In the evening, tasting menus are available for the entire table, from €98 to €165. A slight preference for the seven-course €129 menu, for the best products and the chef's expression, foie gras, scallops, pigeon from Haute-Provence... Cellar of fine wines from all regions.
